Firm History
The law firm of Meacham, Earley & Fowler P.C. traces its history to February 13, 1987. The founding partners, Christopher Meacham and Karen Earley, offered legal services to the Columbus, Muscogee County, community by emphasizing corporate law, employment/labor law, and residential/commercial real estate closings.
With the addition of several other attorneys, the law firm now offers quality legal representation in a wider range of legal disciplines including domestic relations, estate planning and administration, creditor's rights and collections, and general civil litigation in federal and state courts.
Chris Meacham, the firm's founder, has been a presence in the Columbus legal community for over 20 years. In 1976, after several years of serving his country, Chris left the military for a position as Vice President and General Counsel for Martin Theaters, Inc., today recognized as Carmike Cinemas, Inc. In 1984, he entered the private practice of law and shortly thereafter established the law firm now known as Meacham, Earley & Fowler P.C.
Karen Earley became a partner in 1992. She established a growing practice in the area of residential and commercial real estate transactions. That same year, the firm opened a new facility in the ever-expanding north Columbus business community in October.
David A. Fowler opened his own law office in 1993, specializing in domestic relations and general litigation. David merged his LaGrange office with Chris Meacham and Karen Earley in April 2004 to form Meacham, Earley & Fowler P.C. David specializes in civil litigation, domestic relations, creditor's rights, collections, and employment law.
